What does Musical Captions actually do?
It turns MusicXML and MXL notation files into customizable, moving notation videos for performances, lessons, courses, and social content.
Does my music have to be uploaded?
The current product is designed to run on your computer, so your music stays local instead of being uploaded to a Musical Captions account.
Can it read a photograph or scan of sheet music?
Not today. The opening product is built for MusicXML and MXL files exported by notation software. We would rather be precise about the files it handles than promise unreliable scanning.
Is this for phones?
The first release is desktop-first. Mobile preview and sharing are being explored, but reliable creation and export on a phone are not part of the founding promise.
What happens after I buy?
Whop unlocks your Studio account for the paid term. Sign in with the same email to open the hosted editor, use the included templates, and receive current product updates. Canceling stops renewal; access continues through the paid term and then ends.
What are the pricing options?
Studio is $19 billed monthly or $127 billed annually. Twelve monthly payments total $228, so the annual plan saves $101.
What can I keep if I cancel?
You keep your original source files, lawfully created exported videos and images, and any .mcap project files saved on your device. Active Studio access is required to reopen, edit, render, or re-export a project. The app, templates, and updates do not remain available after the paid term.
Is there a refund or guarantee?
There is no voluntary refund policy and no product or outcome guarantee. This does not limit rights that cannot legally be waived or any required Whop or payment-platform process.
