Before you sign up
I'm not a video person. Can I use it?
Yes. There's no timeline and nothing to edit. The scrolling and the timing come from your score. You pick how it looks and export.
Can't I just screen-record my notation app?
You can, and it'll look like software. Musical Captions gives you a designed video with no toolbars or cursors, sized for where you post, with your branding on it.
My music is on paper or in a PDF. Will that work?
Not yet. For now you need a MusicXML or MXL file, which MuseScore, Sibelius, Finale and Dorico can all export. Reading PDFs and photos is something we're working on.
Does it work for my instrument?
If it's written in standard notation, yes: treble, bass, alto and tenor clef, single lines or full piano scores. The built-in sound is piano for now.
Will my videos look like everyone else's?
No. There are dozens of styles, and you can change the colors, background, playhead and fonts, and add your logo.
What will it cost?
